  16.     2MB Video Memory ( 4mb recommended )

  20. INSTALL
  21. -------
  22. If the CD does not auto run then run "setup.exe" from the CD.
  23. The install program has three (count 'em!) installation options
  24.  
  25. 1.Install the game
  26.   This will install the Space Bastards onto your hard drive. No really, it will!
  27. 2.Install DirectX
  28.   This will run the Microsoft DirectX installation for DirectX 5.02
  29. 3.Install DirectShow
  30.   This will install the DirectMedia video playback software. This is required for the
  31.   intro cutscene to be played back. If your machine does not already have this installed
  32.   and you choose not the install this product then the intro will not appear when 
  33.   Space Bastards is run and that's no good at all!

  36. INSTRUCTIONS
  37. ------------
  38. Space Bastards has a very complicated and completely revolutionary game concept.
  39. In order to finish a level; you must first kill all the Bastards! Of course, this may involve
  40. moving crates, blowing shit up, leaping off tall stuff, and slaughtering innocent endangered
  41. species of alien life, but that won't be any trouble to someone of your mental stature ;-)

  43. You control your Robosaur with the mouse and may interact with different parts of the game by 
  44. using the left button to make him perform the current action with the selected object. The right
  45. button will cycle through the actions available at that given moment.
  46.  
  47. It's that easy. Even incontinent old women could make considerable progress in just one sitting!
  48.  
  49. SHORTCUT KEYS
  50. -------------
  51. F1        Toggle Mouse Panning Mode (try it and see)
  52. F2        Restart Level
  53. F3        Swap between players ( double player only )
  54. F4        Options
  55. F5        Type message
  56. F8        Bounce MAP around the screen
  57. F9        Increase size of MAP
  58. SHIFT+F8    Previous position of MAP
  59. SHIFT+F9    Decrease size of MAP
  60. ESC        Quit. ESC again to fast exit
  61.         Will also stop the level over bonus sequence.
  62. Left Mouse    Select action
  63. Right Mouse    If over an object will cycle through available actions otherwise will stop speech samples
  64. BACKSPACE    Oops! Undoes your last action (up to 50 times on Easy mode)
  65. PGDN        Next Level on current planet
  66. PGUP        Previous Level on current planet

  69. DIFFICULTY LEVELS
  70. -----------------
  71. Each planet has 10 levels to be completed. When you complete all the levels you will be warped to a new 
  72. planet immediately. However, depending on the difficulty level you have chosen, the next planet will become 
  73. available for conquest as soon as a minimum number of levels have been completed.
  74. You will be notified that the next planet is available when this occurs and you may choose to change planet
  75. through the options screen from this point on.
